Pacers drop game three of Eastern Conference Finals at home
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- Indiana blows an 18-point lead and now face elimination in game four.
No Tyrese Haliburton in game three as the 24-year-old was sidelined due to a hamstring injury.
Leading the way was Andrew Nembhard with 32 points, followed by TJ McConnell with 23 points off the bench.
Despite the production, the Pacers held their largest lead (18) in the third quarter, but Boston made a comeback, thanks to Jayson Tatum's 36 points and veteran point guard Jrue Holiday's layup with 40 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter. The shot tied the game at 111-111 and Holiday nailed the free throw to give Boston a 112-111 lead.
With an opportunity to tie the game, Indiana inbounded the ball with 1.7 seconds to Aaron Nesmith. The shot hit the right side of the rim, giving the Celtics a 3-0 lead.
Game four will be played Monday at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis at 8 p.m.
