School City of Mishawaka announce Teachers of the Year
MISHAWAKA, Ind. — Administrators from the School City of Mishawaka honored two dedicated educators with Teacher of the Year Awards early Wednesday morning.
The district recognized third grade teacher, Matthew Crosetto, at LaSalle Elementary School as the Elementary Teacher of the Year.
Crosetto states, "Filled with joy. It's, I don't know, this is my Super Bowl. This is my Stanley Cup. This is kind of like this kind of a pivotal moment in my career, my Mount Rushmore. So just very excited and overwhelmed with joy."
The School City of Mishawaka also announced the Secondary Teacher of the Year, English Teacher, Christie Buchmann, at Mishawaka High School.
Buchmann states, "It's just special that it's coming from the peers that you work with, your colleagues."
Both Crosetto and Buchmann will be formally celebrated at the School Board meeting on April 15th at Liberty Elementary School.
This honorable recognition highlights their dedication to inspiring and shaping the futures of students in the community.
