UPDATE: Investigators have announced that 61-year-old Deborah Leyba was taken into custody in connection to this case. The St. Joseph County Prosecutor's Office is working to make a formal charging decision.

The St. Joseph County FACT team is investigating after a crash in South Bend left one woman dead Wednesday evening.

Police were dispatched to a business in the 3600 block of Edison Road at around 7:35 p.m. on a report of a female down in the parking lot. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The county FACT team was notified and responded to the scene. After investigating, a suspect vehicle was identified and located. One person is in police custody at this time.
