Indiana Chamber of Commerce creates workforce Talent Resource Navigator for individuals, employers
The Indiana Chamber of Commerce launched an online workforce center aimed at helping Hoosier employers and individuals access education and training programs in the state.
The Talent Resource Navigator provides live customer service and resources to users looking to improve their skillsets.
The navigator also provides a platform for state agencies, educational institutions, and nonprofit community partners to post their own offerings for users to access.
Through the Talent Pipeline Assessment, employers can learn how to improve their talent development strategies.
“Maintaining a 21st Century skilled and ready workforce requires maximizing the full array of our state’s many public and private training offerings,” says Governor Eric J. Holcomb. “The new Talent Resource Navigator will serve as another important tool to connect employers, nonprofits and individuals with opportunities across the state, many of which are free, like Indiana’s Next Level Jobs. Workforce is an all-hands-on-deck effort, and I applaud the Indiana Chamber and Lilly Endowment for their efforts.”
The workforce center is supported by a $2.5 million Lilly Endowment Inc. grant to the Institute for Workforce Excellence, the Chamber's nonprofit.
The navigator is currently available in English and in Spanish. The Institute for Workforce Excellence plans to offer more languages in the future.
The Indiana Chamber will host webinars in August to teach users how to navigate the Talent Resource Navigator.
