Icy roads lead to hit-and-run in Elkhart County

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- The Elkhart County Sheriff's Office reported a hit-and-run between two vehicles Wednesday evening, leaving behind one rear-ended vehicle.

Around 9:33 p.m. on Wednesday, a vehicle driving southeast on US 33 north of C.R. 42 slid on ice, going left of center and striking the rear end of a 2019 Ram 1500 going northeast on US 33. The unknown vehicle then left the scene.

The Ram's driver reported no injuries, though a passenger was transported to Goshen Hospital after complaints of nose pain.
