Mishawaka Police respond to false gunshot claim at UP Mall

MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- Mishawaka Police Department confirmed at approximately 4:50 p.m. on Saturday, a private security officer was notified of a fight near the center court area inside of UP Mall. 

One call was received of a single shot fired inside the mall.

Mall security, along with officers on the scene, found the claim was likely false or in error. 

There was no evidence of any shots fired.

Several juveniles were removed from the mall in reference to the original disturbance.
