A bitter and slick start to the New Year. Roads will be very icy this morning—both side and main roads alike. Err on the side of caution, and slow down! Expect delays for the Thursday morning commute. Lake effect snow showers are expected to come to an end by afternoon. Areas in SW Michigan could receive another inch or so of snow by daybreak. Highs today will only make it to the 20s. Similar temperatures will stick around through the weekend. Weather will become less active and will gradually warm above freezing by next week.
