South Bend school district releases plan for closing, consolidating...
ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. – Howard Park is now open for ice skating and burger eating, thanks to the new Howard Park Public House restaurant, which welcomed its first customers today in South Bend.
The restaurant, which partnered with the South Bend Chocolate Company to offer the familiar coffee and beverages locals have come to love, also serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner for guests to enjoy, including a new way to eat burgers.
“Our theme is upside down burgers. So, we actually serve our burgers upside down because they taste better and they’re a lot easier to eat and they’re branded with our own logo on it,” said General Manager Kat Anagnos.
For guests not quite comfortable with eating indoors just yet, the restaurant is offering outdoor seating, complete with heaters.
Guests can even pack up a basket of the restaurant’s food, grab a picnic blanket, and enjoy their meal in the park.
While the soft opening was held today, a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony is planned for Friday, January 15.
The Howard Park Public House will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
