BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. -- It’s June, which means it’s National Dairy Month.
A whole month is dedicated to recognize our local farmers that do so much for the community as they bring nutritious food to the table, strengthen the economy and so much more.
One way you can celebrate the National Dairy Month and your local farmers is by heading over to a local dairy farm.
And, a local family farm we spotlighted today was Shuler Dairy Farms in Michigan that has been passed down for more than five generations.
The farm offers educational tours every Tuesday through Sunday from 12:00 - 6:00 p.m. for $5.
You will learn about dairy products, the latest technology innovations, how dairy products get from farm to table, see calves and bulls and more.
While you're at it, you can grab a sweet treat straight from the farm, soft-serve ice-cream of your choice from cones, sundaes and root beer floats.
For more information about tours, you can visit their website at Shuler Dairy Farms | Centennial Family Farm Southwest Michigan.
