Hit-and-run crash involves three vehicles, injures one, on CR 20

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. – A hit-and-run crash involves three vehicles on CR 20, at the intersection of Charlie Drive, on Saturday at 2 pm, according to the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office.

According to deputies, an unknown type of vehicle was driving west on CR 20, towards the intersection of Charlie Drive.

A second vehicle, a 2015 Nissan Sentra, was also driving west on CR 20, towards the intersection of Charlie Drive. The third vehicle, a 2014 Honda CR-V, was traveling east on CR 20, towards the same intersection.

The unknown vehicle allegedly rear-ended the Nissan, sending the Nissan into the path of the Honda. The Nissan and Honda collided. The unknown vehicle drove off moments after the crash, deputies said.

The driver of the Nissan was transported to the hospital for their injuries.

No enforcement has been taken at this time, according to police. Drugs or alcohol do not appear to be a factor in the crash.
