UPDATE: Police identify female victim found on Birdsell Street
UPDATE (MARCH 22 5:30 p.m.): The South Bend Police Department has confirmed the identity of one of the individuals found deceased in the 200 block of Birdsell Street late last night, March 21.
Upon arriving to the scene, police located an adult male and female both found unresponsive and pronounced dead on scene.
The woman has been identified as 45-year-old Chisa Taylor Johnson.
The SBPD is still attempting to get in touch with the other victim's family, leaving their name withheld at this time.
Autopsies have been scheduled for tomorrow in Kalamazoo.
This case remains active, and we will update as we confirm more.
UPDATE (9:18 p.m.): The South Bend Police Department have confirmed that two deceased adults have been found, with no obvious signs of foul play.
The violent crimes unit is investigating, with an autopsy to be performed within the next few days.
There is said to be no additional threat to public safety.

ORIGINAL: SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- A heavy police presence has been dispatched to the 200 block of Birdsell Street for a call that came in at approximately 7:04 p.m.
