ABC 57 ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- At approximately 3:49 p.m. on Friday afternoon, Elkhart County sheriffs responded to the scene of a head-on collision on C.R. 6, east of C.R. 10.
A Dodge Ram 1500 was traveling east on C.R. 6, following a vehicle in front too closely. To avoid a rear-end collision with the vehicle in front, the Ram 1500 crossed the center line into oncoming traffic, colliding head-on with a 2020 Dodge Ram that was heading west.
The driver of the Ram 1500 reported no injuries and was cited for following too closely and for driving left of center.
The driver of the 2020 Dodge was taken to Elkhart General Hospital for complaints of left wrist and chest pain.
