Community Build underway at Kathryn Park
LAKEVILLE, Ind. -- Newton Park hosted its annual Halloween in the Park event Saturday, moving festivities indoors due to rainy weather. Local vendors and community members decorated tables for children to collect candy, and attendees celebrated by dressing up in costumes.
"This has been going on for many, many years. The Newtons always wanted to do free, fun community events for kids. Newton Park is a place for kids, and that's what this event is all about," said Cindy Brooke, event coordinator at Newton Park.
