Fourth and final suspect in July South Bend shooting in custody
SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Oaklawn held its grand opening on Friday, September 29 for its new South Bend campus.
The new 60,000 square foot facility on East Madison St. was purchased from Beacon Health last year.
The turn out included city leaders, council members and a representative from the Boys and Girls Club, who came to show their support.
The building features included one floor reserved for children and adolescent services.
Other parts of the building have a floor dedicated to adult services, physicians, a pharmacy and a physical health center.
Laurie Nafziger, the President and CEO of Oaklawn, is encouraged by the opportunity the new campus offers.
"It allows us to see more people serve the people that we do see better and honor the work that our staff does in a lovely, beautiful new space," she said. "It allows us to communicate better and serve people more effectively."
