GOSHEN, Ind. -- The monthly Reptile and Exotic Pet Expo happened last Saturday at the Elkhart County 4-H fairgrounds in Goshen. The expo showcased all sorts of reptiles big and small for customers to browse, purchase and take home.
Dozens of lizards, snakes, crocodiles, as well as many more exotic creatures were on display to customers selling for a range of prices from $10 to as much as $1500.
The monthly expo is used to highlight reptiles and other exotic pets, allowing visitors to learn more about each one as well as how to care for and maintain one as a pet.
ABC57 spoke with show promoter Tony Collison who said, "This is an event for animal lovers to come and see and learn about animals. You can buy animals. You can buy products that will help take better care of your animals. You can talk to breeders and get better information on how to and it's just, this is a fun event for families, kids, anyone really that would like to see and learn about more animals."
This event takes place the first Saturday of each month except July and August, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. located at the Elkhart County 4-H Fairgrounds. You can find more information on their website here or on their Goshen Reptile and Exotic Pet Expo Facebook page.
