Goshen Intermediate School closed Friday after death of cherished teacher

GOSHEN, Ind. -- Goshen Community Schools is in mourning following the loss of Corrie Miller, who taught the fifth grade at Goshen Intermediate School.
"Corrie dedicated over 20 years to education, inspiring countless students with her passion, kindness, and unwavering commitment to their success," the school district said on social media.
"Her infectious laughter, generosity, and deep love for teaching will forever be remembered by her students, colleagues, and the entire Goshen Schools community. She made learning meaningful, brought history to life, and always put her students first."
Miller is survived by her husband Rod, and their children, Wyatt and Ivy.
The school district says a gathering of family and friends will take place on Thursday, Feb. 27, from 3 to 7 p.m. at Ligonier Missionary Church. A funeral service will follow on Friday, February 28, at 11 AM, with visitation one hour prior.
"We understand this loss is deeply felt, and we want to remind our students and staff that counselors are available for support," GCS said. "Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you need someone to talk to. Corrie’s legacy of love, laughter, and learning will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. ?"
