GOSHEN, Ind. – Goshen city residents can apply for financial assistance to help pay for their water and sewer bills.
Goshen water and sewer utility customers that are facing shut-offs may qualify for up to $200 in financial assistance.
There are over 400 households facing shut-offs because they are three or more months behind in paying their bills.
The utility shut-off moratorium that Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb put in place expires August 14.
Residents who are behind on their utility bills by three months or more should contact the utilities office before August 18 to begin the application process.
“We understand this is a time of economic uncertainty for many of our residents,” said Mayor Jeremy Stutsman.
The water and sewer utilities financial assistance program is only temporary and will expire September 30, 2020.
