'Girls with Altitude' Aviation Day at Goshen Airport Saturday

Stay Indiana and Regality

GOSHEN, Ind. -- Goshen Airport will be host to "Girls with Altitude: Aviation Day for Teen Girls" on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The free community event, presented by Stay Indiana and Regality, is designed to spark leadership, confidence, and curiosity through hands-on aviation experiences, according to organizers.

Attendees can enjoy free airplane rides, build an airplane rudder, and connect with role models in the aviation industry.

Organizers highlighted there will also be a live virtual session with Zara Rutherford, the youngest woman to fly solo around the world.

“Girls With Altitude is about showing young women that the sky isn’t the limit, it’s just the beginning,” said Matt Branson, Executive Director of Stay Indiana, one of the event’s organizers. “Through aviation, we’re helping them discover courage, leadership, and a world of opportunities.”

The event is open for all middle and high school girls.

Lunch will also be provided. Goshen Airport is located at 17229 C.R. 42 in Goshen.

Participants are encouraged to register in advance online.
