GOSHEN, Ind. -- The community is invited to enjoy "Toons in June for You!", a free screening of classic cartoons on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon at Goshen Theater.

“We’ll be showing a lot of those Warner Bros. cartoons that many folks grew up watching on Saturday mornings,” said Adrienne Nesbitt, the theater’s program director. “They’re short-segment cartoons, nothing feature-length. It’s really easy to bop in and out. Come in for half an hour or stay for the whole three hours, if you want!”

Nesbitt says this event is resurrecting the tradition of screening cartoons on Saturday mornings, which was common during the 1970s and '80s.

The theater is planning to hold more cartoon showcases in July and August.

Concessions will be available for purchase, and the theater asks that children be accompanied by adults.

The theater is located at 216 S. Main St.
