Free documentary screening to commemorate anniversary of Russia invading Ukraine

Creative Force: How Everyday Ukrainians Use Creativity and Audacity to Defy an Empire - Alex LeMay

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Officials with the Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies and the Nanovic Institute for European Studies at the University of Notre Dame announced there will be a free screening of the documentary "Creative Force: How Everyday Ukrainians Use Creativity and Audacity to Defy an Empire" on Tuesday at 7 p.m.

The screening is being held in commemoration of the third anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

The documentary is described as delving into the indomitable spirit of Ukrainians who have transformed everyday skills into powerful acts of resistance against overwhelming odds.

The film's director, Alex LeMay, and producer, Maris Lidaka, will be in attendance to participate in a Q&A session with the audience following the screening.

The screening will take place in the Hesburgh Center for International Studies Auditorium at the University of Notre Dame.

Admission is free and open to the public.
