GOSHEN, Ind. -- Goshen Community Schools announced the appointment of Dr. Karen Blaha as interim principal of Goshen Intermediate School (GIS) for the 2025–26 school year while the district looks for a permanent principal.

Blaha holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and multiple certifications in K–12 leadership and teaching.

Prior to this position, Blaha was the Program Coordinator and Associate Professor of Education at the University of St. Francis in Joliet, Illinois, where she led the Educational Leadership Master’s Program and advised doctoral candidates in educational leadership.

In the Goshen area, Blaha has previously served as principal of Chamberlain Elementary School, as well as Director of Curriculum and Director of English Learners for Goshen Community Schools.
