With the solar eclipse set for Monday, in order to see it clearly, the clouds will have to have breaks during the event so the view is not obstructed.
It's unusual for meteorologists to want rain, but if the rain comes on Sunday, then the view will be much clearer for the eclipse as most of it should be gone by Eclipse Day if it comes Sunday.
With that weather coming Sunday, hopefully it can dissipate by Monday by 3 p.m. in order to see the 97% eclipse in South Bend.
