LAGRANGE, Ind.  -  Multiple fire departments are battling a large fire at three buildings on Detroit Street in downtown LaGrange. One of the buildings collapsed just before 3 p.m.

Incident Commander Mark McClish said they believe the fire started on the lower level of one of the buildings and spread to the roof.

Every fire department in the county is on scene, but they expect it to take all night to get the fire out.

They also are receiving help from departments in four nearby counties.

Fire crews have drained the water tower and are reaching out to area departments for assistance with transporting water to the scene.

Two of the businesses affected by the fire are the Family Dollar and the Gould Sport Shop.

So far no injuries have been reported.

Because crews expect to be out there all night, a local grocery store has brought food, drinks and water for the firefighters.

As of 10:30 p.m. the fire is still active.
