The hottest day since 2022, and the hottest August day since 1991, if we hit 98 degrees. That is the air temperature, the heat index could as high as 105 degrees. The humidity is a factor, but with the current dry conditions, this will feel like a baking heat. Bottom line, its hot Tuesday afternoon, and extra precautions are needed especially for those planning to be outside, hydration starts tonight. The extreme heat will break Wednesday but the mugginess lasts through Friday. There are chances of rain, but it's possible that any storm that do develop, fizzle in our dry environment. The first shot at storm Tuesday night, is iffy. The best chance is Thursday night - Friday.
Tonight: Mostly clear. Low 75.
Tuesday: Mostly sunny. High 98.
Wednesday: Partly cloudy. High 90.
Thursday: Partly cloudy. High 88.
