Elkhart police: locks cut off of multiple storage units
ELKHART, Ind. – Locks were cut on multiple storage units at a facility on Franklin Street in Elkhart, the Elkhart Police Department reported.
At 4:02 p.m. on Tuesday, an officer went to the Storage Rentals of America building in the 1600 block of Franklin Street for a report of multiple storage units with locks cut off, reports said.
Those who reported the incident said they found a hole in the exterior fence of the property and found the locks cut off of at least seven units.
The locks are believed to have been cut off sometime between 11 a.m. on November 12 and 3 p.m. on November 16.
At this time, police have not determined what, if anything, was taken from the units, and no suspect information is available.
This case is still being investigated.
