Culver Dream Day lets students prepare themselves for the future

CULVER, Ind. -- The annual event Culver Dream Day allowed students from Argos and Culver schools to see various career opportunities.

"This is the first time that Argos and Culver schools have partnered in a Dream Day event, where freshmen through seniors are participating today," said Lorna Shively, part of the Marshall County Economic Development Corporation.

The event lets students interact with colleges, businesses, and even military branches.

These interactions make it a tool for students to think about what they might want to do in the future.

"Just kind of bring all of these people together to let kids know what their opportunities are for after school," said Hannah Croy, the Communications director for Culver Community Schools.

The event is significant for smaller towns like Culver and Argos offering students valuable exposure to potential career paths and resources.

"Being able to have these resources here and have these businesses here is just a great opportunity for kids from a smaller school, we have just under 800 kids in our entire corporation, so being able to bring this all together for these kids is just a great opportunity for them," said Croy.
