ELKHART, Ind. -- The 4th annual 'Waggin' in the Woods' took place today at the Elkhart Environmental Center, where dogs from all over the community got to run for a fun morning in the sun.
The event had many different pet-oriented vendors, offering nail clippings, temporary dog dye, as well as K-9 demonstrations and a dog parade where attendees showed off their furry friends in their best costumes.
"This is our annual Waggin' in the Woods event. This is the fourth year that we're doing this with tracking in the shadows. It's the best event of the year because there's dogs everywhere, and we have a lot of really cool vendors out today, and we got lucky with the weather, so it's a good year for it," stated Environmental Projects Coordinator for the Environmental Center Annie Klehfoh.
All donations received at the event support Tracking in the Shadows, a non-profit pet rescue that helps rehabilitate and rehome roaming dogs by providing food and support for them.
