Elkhart County Historical Museum set to offer bilingual tour

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- The Elkhart County Historical Museum is set to host for the first time ever a bilingual guided tour of their exhibit: Crossroads of Elkhart County.
The tour will be offered in both English and Spanish on Thursday March 20 at 5 p.m.
“Offering this tour will allow more people to learn the history of Elkhart County, which includes stories about many immigrant groups who came here without speaking English. We hope our Spanish-speaking patrons can see their story reflected here,” stated Jenifer Blouin Policelli, Curator of Education.
The tour will be led by Blouin Policelli, with Goshen College Senior Maria Petit Arias who volunteered to offer her skills in translation and interpretation with the Spanish speaking portion of the tour.
Following the tour, at 7 p.m., a musical performance will be offered by renowned Andean flautist Nayo Ulloa on his signature instrument, the quena.
Both the tour and performance are free and open to the public, with no registration required.
