GOSHEN, Ind. -- Elkhart County Government officials, members of governing bodies, and employees are hosting a Holiday Open House on Dec. 16 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Elkhart County Administration Building located at 117 N. 2nd St. in Goshen.

This event is intended to be a food and fund raiser for the Salvation Army serving Elkhart County. The public is invited to bring non-perishable food items along with personal hygiene products.

Cash or check donations are also accepted. Guests will be able to visit with county elected officials, members of governing bodies, and employees. Refreshments will be served.

Specific pantry items needed include:

• Pasta
• Pasta sauce
• Rice
• Canned vegetables
• Canned meats
• Cereal
• Snacks
• Mac and cheese
• Instant potatoes
• Coffee
• Drink mixes
• Juice
• Hygiene products
