Eight Notre Dame baseball players named to All-ACC Academic Team
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- After a successful season on the diamond, the Fighting Irish baseball team is racking up awards for accomplishments off the field.
Eight members of the Notre Dame baseball team were selected to the All-ACC Academic Team, the most by any team in the league this season and the most since Notre Dame joined the ACC in 2014.
This comes as five Notre Dame softball players were selected for the All-ACC Academic Team last week.
Highlighting the selections was All-ACC first team recipient and unanimous All-American pitcher John Michael Bertrand.
Ryan Cole, a graduate student, was selected for the All-ACC Academic Team after earning third team All-ACC honors in May.
All-Americans Jack Brannigan and Jack Findlay, a junior and freshman respectively, were also named to the Academic All-ACC team.
Seniors Zack Prajzner and Carter Putz, as well as graduate students David LaManna and Austin Temple round out the group of Fighting Irish baseball players who were stars on the field and in the classroom this season.
