ELKHART, Ind. -- Two 19-year-old men suffered gunshot wounds early Monday morning according to the Elkhart Police Department.

EPD reports a 911 call came in around 12:05 a.m., regarding sounds of gunfire near Main Street/Simonton Street.

Officers arrived in the area shortly after. While investigating the incident, a walk-in gunshot wound victim arrived at Elkhart General Hospital.

Police say a second walk-in gunshot wound victim arrived at a different local hospital later in the morning.

The two victims are believed to be connected to the same incident, police say.

Both victims' wounds are described as non-life-threatening.

The investigation led to Elkhart County Regional SWAT executing a search warrant at a residence in the 200 block of W. Simonton Street.

No arrests have been made at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
