Duel for Da Bears: Hammond in the hunt

HAMMOND, Ind. -- Friday’s announcement by the Board of Directors for the Chicago Bears that the team planned to move forward with scouting stadium sites in northwest Indiana, sending shockwaves through the NFL.

The most likely landing spot; the Lost Marsh Golf Course near Wolf Lake in Hammond, Indiana.

Hammond Mayor, Thomas McDermitt, told the public during a city council meeting Monday, that the project would be at least 300 acres. He added the Bears plan to bring millions of dollars of infrastructure into the area to help facilitate the stadium build.
