'Drool in the Pool' at Kennedy Water Playground

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- South Bend Venues Parks and Arts will hold "Drool in the Pool," an opportunity for residents to bring their dogs to the pool, at Kennedy Water Playground on Monday, September 2, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Organizers invite you to bring your furry friends, big or small, to have some fun in the water.

No registration required and the entrance fee is three cans or one small bag of Purina pet food or cat litter to be donated to the South Bend Animal Resource Center.

Organizers say well-behaved dogs are welcome to enjoy the pool.

Dogs 25 pounds or less are welcome from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., while 25 pounds or more are welcome from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Dog owners must provide proof of up-to-date vaccinations, dogs must be wearing a flat buckle/snap collar for controlling in the facility, and dog owners must be at least 18 years old.

Anyone 17 or younger must be accompanied by an adult.
