Driver found guilty in fatal 2022 crash with motorcyclist

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The St. Joseph County Prosecutor's Office announced a jury found 28-year-old Shambreka Hall guilty on Count I: Causing Death When Operating a Vehicle with a Schedule I or II Controlled Substance, a Level 4 Felony.

Hall was the driver involved in the crash at Mishawaka Avenue and 31st Street that occurred on Sept. 22, 2022, which resulted in the death of motorcyclist Dale Womack.

Officials say Hall was found not guilty on Count II, while Judge Elizabeth Hurley previously directed a verdict of acquittal on Count III.

The sentencing range for a Level 4 Felony is 2 to 12 years, with an advisory sentence of 6 years.

Hall's sentencing is currently scheduled for Feb.11, at 8:30 a.m.
