ABC 57 MIDDLEBURY, Ind. -- The Elkhart County Sheriff's Office announced Monday that a vehicle crashed into a tree Sunday night, resulting in two injuries and one arrest.
According to the sheriff's office, a 2019 Dodge Challenger was driving east on US 20 around 8:28 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 11, before the driver attempted to turn south on C.R. 43.
The Challenger went left of center and collided with a tree. Officers investigated and found that the driver suffered a contusion to the head and their passenger suffered lacerations to the face, though neither accepted medical treatment at the scene.
The Challenger's driver, who was noted to not be wearing a seatbelt, was incarcerated for Operating While Intoxicated.
