NIPSCO updates customers on power outages across Michiana

NIPSCO INDIANA. -- NIPSCO announced 95 percent of 45,175 customers affected by yesterday’s damaging high winds have now been restored.
Damage included more than 29 broken poles and widespread debris that was removed.
NIPSCO anticipates a multi-day outage for some customers due to the severity of the damage and recommends residents make the necessary plans to stay safe.
NIPSCO reminds residents to stay away from downed power lines and damaged poles and equipment.
