Driver arrested for OWI, passenger arrested on warrant following traffic stop

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. -- The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department reports a K9 deputy conducted a traffic stop on May 30 around 2:45 p.m. near US 31 and 9A Road, resulting in two arrests.
Authorities identified the driver as 42-year-old Aaron Brown, and a passenger was identified as 46-year-old Melvin Soloman.
Brown was found to have a license status of Habitual Traffic Violator and suspected of Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated.
Soloman was found to have an active arrest warrant through Hamilton County, Ind., and was taken to the Marshall County Jail where he was booked.
Soloman is held without bond.
Brown was taken to the Plymouth Hospital for a chemical test which found him to be over three times the legal limit of alcohol.
Brown was then taken to the Marshall County Jail and booked for Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated in the Presence of a Passenger Less Than 18 Years of Age, a Level 6 Felony, Operating a Vehicle as a Habitual Traffic Violator, a Level 6 Felony, and Reckless Driving, a Class A Misdemeanor.
Brown was issued a $1,505 bond.
