Downtown South Bend's Art Beat cancelled due to COVID-19

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Downtown South Bend announced Tuesday they have cancelled the 18th annual Art Beat because of COVID-19 concerns.

Art Beat was scheduled for Saturday August 15.

Organizers said it was cancelled because of the recent increase in COVID-19 cases in the region, the health department's decision to extend the mask order to September 7th, and results of a survey that indicated only half of the people who attended Art Beat in the past would attend this year.

DTSB will continue to host their other summer events: Red Table Plaza Lunchtime Concert Series, Summer Fitness Series, Arts on the Race, and First Fridays.
