Downtown South Bend Art Beat returns Aug. 10

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- South Bend will host its annual Art Beat event downtown during a day-long celebration to celebrate local artists.

On Aug. 10, the downtown streets will be filled with performing, visual, and culinary artists, spanning from Jefferson's Bridge to East Bank, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

"Stroll the streets of downtown South Bend during this free, family-friendly event to see the hand-crafted work of local potters, photographers, painters, weavers, jewelers, sketchers, woodcarvers, crocheters, and filmmakers," organizer said.

"You'll also hear the sound of acoustical melodies, African drumming, soulful Jazz, the power of rock, and more."
