When do we see our last dusting of snow?
DOWAGIAC, Mich. -- The Dowagiac Fire Department collected new and unwrapped toys at Beckwith Park Saturday for the Cass County Campaign for Toys for Tots.
The department received over 400 toys that are set to be distributed throughout the county during Christmas time.
Fire department staff say it's a tradition that is centered around the spirit of giving.
"Well, this is something we've been doing for several years," says Lieutenant Robert Smith with the Dowagiac Fire Department. "We like to stay involved with the community and the area, and this is just one of the things we feel real strongly about. We distribute boxes all over the Dowagiac area that are filled up, and then we collect them, and that's part of our distribution."
The department will be taking toy donations through mid- December!
