Buchanan Township Fire and Rescue BUCHANAN, Mich. -- On Saturday, Feb. 7, at approximately 6:10 p.m. Buchanan firefighters were dispatched to the 4000 block of Bear Cave Road to assist Michigan State Police in locating a dog in the river.
The investigation concluded the dog was running across the ice and eventually ran through.
A rescue team was deployed and safely rescued the dog and returned it to its owner.
