Deadly shooting under investigation in Benton Harbor

BENTON HARBOR, Mich. - Police are investigating a shooting in Benton Harbor that left one man dead and at least one other hurt.

Police were called to the 700 block of East Napier, at Barrick Village Apartments, around 2 a.m. Friday morning.

Officers say they found one man with multiple gunshot wounds, who was rushed to the hospital and taken into surgery.  A second man had been driven to the hospital by friends, but was later pronounced dead.

Witnesses tell police the man who was killed and another man arrived at the apartment complex and got out of a car.  Shortly after, several others ran out from behind two buildings, and gunfire erupted.

Police say there many be a third person who was hurt, but they haven't located anyone with injuries yet.
