SAINT JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. --Yesterday marked day one of the rummage sale organized by Angels in the Attic. And according to organizers, this event promises to be their biggest sale yet.
Today's sale runs from today's sale runs from 7 a.m. To 3 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 4:30 p.m. It's located in the blue warehouse at 20950 W. Ireland road.
The rummage sale, much like your typical garage sale but mega-sized, features a wide variety of items, from clothes and toys to furniture and electronics, all donated by community members. All proceeds go directly to supporting these families.
Organizers say this rummage sale offers more than just great deals; it's a beacon of hope for women and children overcoming financial hardships after escaping abuse.
Founded in 2011, Angels in the Attic has been a lifeline for countless families in need. Their mission is to provide essentials, support and a sense of normalcy to women and children as they transition to safer lives.
1 in 3 women will experience some form of abuse in their lifetime from an intimate partner.
Founder and CEO of Angels in the Attic Kristine Kuroski says the nonprofit is here to break that cycle, offering a path to a brighter future.
