Critical injury accident in Kosciusko County

KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. --Kosciusko County Sheriff's Deputies and emergency personnel responded to a critical injury accident at 6:09 p.m., Friday evening, that involved a motorcycle and truck, on North State Road 13, at the intersection of Executive Drive. 

Preliminary investigation determined that a 2012 Harley Davidson motorcycle was southbound on State Road 13, approaching Executive Drive, where a 2023 Dodge Ram turned on State Road 13, failing to yield to the southbound motorcycle. 

The 54-year-old Syracuse motorcycle driver was thrown from the motorcycle after collision. 

That driver was airlifted to Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, where the driver is in stable, but critical condition. 

The 65-year-old Leesburg truck driver was treated by Syracuse EMS at the scene. 

This accident is still currently under investigation.
