ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. - Fire crews responded to the University Park Mall twice on Monday for reports of a fire.
The Mishawaka Fire Department and Mishawaka Police Department were called to the mall at 9:47 a.m. for a report of a fire on the roof above Flat Top Grill.
According to crews on scene, transformers blew and triggered the alarms.
No flames were seen, only light smoke, according to reports.
Officials do not believe there was any structural damage in the incident.
The opening of the mall was delayed and three stores remained closed due to power outages.
A few hours later, firefighters were called back to the mall for a report of a vehicle fire in the parking lot.
That call came in around 1 p.m. Monday afternoon.
No one was reported injured and no major damage was reported.
