COVID-19 health clinic to be held January 7 in Elkhart

ELKHART, Ind. - The Northern Indiana Hispanic Health Coalition is hosting a COVID-19 health clinic at The Arena Michiana in Elkhart on Saturday.

The clinic will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and offers COVID-19 and flu vaccines to those eligible to receive them.

Attendees can also get tested for COVID-19 and receive a COVID-19 health consultation with a bilingual health professional.

Screenings for cholesterol, glucose, blood pressure, and A1C will also be available.

All services are free to the public and no documents are required.

Those planning on attending are encouraged to make an appointment by calling or sending a WhatsApp message to the coalition's COVID-19 hotline at 574-206-3938.

Appointments can also be scheduled by calling 1-877-21-SALUD (72583).

The coalition is offering a $20 gas gift card to everyone who makes an appointment and gets a flu or COVID-19 shot.

The Arena Michiana is located at 2401 Middlebury St. in Elkhart.

Since July 2021, the coalition has held 18 COVID-19 vaccine clinics and provided more than 2,500 shots to the community.
