MIDDLEBURY, Ind. -- The Town of Middlebury announced motorists should expect delays heading toward Elkhart starting on or after March 24 when construction will begin on the U.S. 20 bridge over C.R. 20.

Officials say there will be lane restrictions in both directions on U.S. 20.

Officials add from mid-April to early June, the ramp from U.S. 33 to westbound U.S. 20 will be closed.

The work schedule could change due to weather conditions, officials say.

Motorists are asked to slow down, use extra caution, and drive distraction-free when traveling in and around all work zones.
