Construction on I-94 Bridge in Michigan to begin Monday

WATERVLIET, Mich. – Starting September 9, the Michigan Department of Transportation will be working on the eastbound I-94 bridge and ramp over M-140.

This project will extend the service life of the bridge and improve the safety of it.

The plans include joint and railing replacement, deck sealing, and approach work.

There will be two eastbound lanes open on I-94 during this construction.

The eastbound I-94 ramp to M-140 will be closed until construction is completed.

Traffic will be detoured from the eastbound I-94 to Exit 39 toward Friday Road/Church Street, north to Red Arrow Highway, then east to M-140.
