Starke County Sheriff's Office won't renew contract with Flock

STARKE COUNTY, Ind. -- The Starke County Sheriff's Office announced it will discontinue the renewal of their contract with Flock cameras in the county.

The announcement came via the office's official Facebook page Tuesday afternoon.

The post reads in part, "The Sheriff has made this decision in the best interest of our community as we value the relationships we have built and are committed to maintaining trust through transparency and open communication."

Sheriff Rosa made the decision not to renew the contract, and the post notes the department has adhered to their SOPs regarding the use of Flock.

The sheriff's office also noted the cameras do have benefits.
