Concord Schools participate in week-long teacher training ahead of school year

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- As the new school year approaches, Concord Community Schools are making sure their newest teachers are ready for the classroom.

New teachers are gearing up for the upcoming school year with a training program.

The goal? To ensure they have the tools and confidence they need to provide the best education for their students.

The Teacher Orientation Program, or TOP, is designed for both educators new to the field and those new to Concord.

This week, teachers learned instructional protocols, the district's core values, and got familiar with the latest classroom technology.

43 new teachers, along with 10 others, including instructional coaches, administrators, and teachers who were new last year, participated in the program.

The first day of school for Concord Schools is Wednesday, August 14.
